About the Role

Our client, a leading SaaS provider operating a fully distributed team, is looking for an experienced Remote Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in scalability and performance optimization. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to our client's success from your own workspace. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure that supports our rapidly growing platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system resilience, and drive performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Configure and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering roles, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and scalability.
• Proven experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong proficiency with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system monitoring tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex distributed systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in remote, agile teams.
• Experience with microservices architectures is highly desirable.
