About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking aviation company, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their team remotely. This is a remote-first role where you will provide expert technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance on complex aircraft maintenance issues, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and documentation. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the continued airworthiness and operational readiness of our fleet, even without being physically on the hangar floor. You will act as a key resource for on-site maintenance crews, offering remote assistance, performing virtual inspections, and reviewing maintenance records to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance and troubleshooting for complex aircraft maintenance issues.
• Review and interpret aircraft maintenance logs, technical manuals, and repair schemes.
• Guide on-site maintenance teams through complex repair procedures via remote communication.
• Perform virtual inspections and assessments of aircraft systems and components.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and recommend preventative actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company policies.
• Advise on parts sourcing and procurement for required repairs.
• Assist in the development and refinement of maintenance procedures.
• Document remote support activities and findings accurately.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for aircraft systems and maintenance practices.

Requirements

• Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) certification or equivalent (e.g., A&P license).
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of various aircraft types and their systems (e.g., airframe, engine, avionics).
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
• Excellent understanding of aviation regulations and maintenance standards.
• Proficiency with digital maintenance logs and diagnostic tools.
• Exceptional remote communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Eligibility to work remotely and provide support for aircraft based in various locations.
