Senior Microsoft System Engineer – Enterprise Infrastructure

Responsibilities Administer, maintain and continuously improve enterprise Microsoft server environments. Install, configure and manage Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure (Windows Server 2016 and newer). Perform server patching, lifecycle management and infrastructure updates. Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, including users, groups, permissions and security policies. Support and further develop enterprise identity and access management solutions. Administer Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments. Manage and operate ADFS and/or Okta authentication services. Implement and integrate Microsoft System Center solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). Develop, maintain and optimize PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Analyse system, application and event logs to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. Participate in infrastructure projects, platform improvements and technology upgrades. Document system changes, operational procedures and technical implementations. Work according to ITIL best practices, including Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request Management. Contribute to the strategic evolution and modernization of the enterprise infrastructure. Requirements Several years of hands‑on experience as a Microsoft System Engineer within complex enterprise environments. Proven experience supporting enterprise infrastructures with more than 1,000 users. Senior or Expert level with demonstrated technical leadership and deep infrastructure expertise. Strong expertise with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer. Excellent knowledge of enterprise server security best practices.

Extensive experience with server installation, configuration, patching and update management. Advanced administration of Microsoft Active Directory. Strong understanding of Microsoft’s Tiering Model (Tier 0, Tier 1 and Tier 2). Experience with Microsoft Entra ID administration. Experience administering ADFS and/or Okta environments. Extensive experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). Experience with Microsoft System Center solutions. Experience with Ansible is considered a strong advantage. Experience with enterprise Identity Management solutions. Knowledge of Omada and Adaxes is highly desirable. Strong PowerShell scripting skills. Experience developing automation solutions for operational efficiency. Experience analysing system logs, event logs and infrastructure troubleshooting. Solid understanding of ITIL operational processes.

Experience documenting infrastructure changes and operational procedures. Experience contributing to infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives. Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently in large enterprise environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. English language skills at B2/C1 level are considered an advantage.
