By joining the first team in the world desiging from first principles how a robot should clean commercial spaces, you are going to heavily rely on your creativity and determination to solve problems in unconventional ways. /p pWhat you’ll be doing: /p ul lipBuild custom electromechanical systems from a robot arm and grippers to automatic tool changers, to a docking station /p /li lipBuild cleaning-specific mechanical systems like cleaning end-effector tools and fluid systems /p /li lipDrive our HIL testing efforts to prove effectiveness and durability of our mechanical systems /p /li lipContribute to the industrialization efforts required to manufacture hundreds of robots /p /li /ul h3bYou /b /h3 pWhat you should have: /p ul lip3+ years in a professional Mechanical Engineering environment, preferably Robotics, Automotive, or Aerospace /p /li lipStrong CAD modeling experience (e.g. ph3bWe are hiring a Mechanical Engineer /b /h3 pStart date: ASAP /p pZürich, Switzerland (on-site, remote not possible) /p pFull-time (100%) /p h3bYour role /b /h3 pYou’ll ideate, design, manufacture, and deploy core mechanical systems on our robot.

BLDC motors, gearboxes, encoders, torque sensors) /p /li lipExperience in fluid systems (e.g. water pumps, valves, nozzles) /p /li lipExperience writing basic software for test benches independently (Python, C++) /p /li /ul pThese skills are a plus: /p ul lipExperience building custom PCBs /p /li lipYou have built articulated robots before (e.g. a robot arm or robot leg, quadruped, humanoid) /p /li lipYou have contributed building a hardware product shipped in the hundreds of units to customers /p /li /ul pDon't worry if you don't hit every check-mark.
