- Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans, and work procedures.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage and mentor junior site engineers and technicians.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and quality documentation.
- Perform quality assurance checks and conduct site inspections to verify conformity to specifications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of site engineering practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in civil engineering site supervision and management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, water/wastewater systems).
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and digital collaboration tools.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor engineering teams effectively, especially in a remote setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with contract administration and claims management is advantageous.
