Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Storage Architect – SAN/NAS & Disaster Recovery to lead the architecture, engineering, implementation, and operational readiness of enterprise storage and disaster recovery platforms across multiple country data centers.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in enterprise storage technologies, including Dell PowerMax, NetApp ONTAP, SAN/NAS, SRDF, and SnapMirror, along with extensive experience in storage replication, backup infrastructure, cyber recovery, and enterprise disaster recovery planning.

This role will be responsible for developing comprehensive storage recovery strategies, assessing current infrastructure capacity, forecasting future storage requirements, and designing scalable, resilient solutions to support full workload recovery during cyber incidents and major disruptions. The position also requires strong strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and executive-level stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise SAN and NAS storage platforms.
• Manage and support Dell PowerMax and NetApp ONTAP storage environments.
• Design and implement block and file storage solutions to support critical enterprise workloads.
• Develop storage virtualization, snapshots, replication, and data protection strategies.
• Ensure storage platforms meet enterprise requirements for availability, scalability, performance, security, and resilience.

2. Storage Replication and Disaster Recovery

• Design, implement, and manage storage replication technologies, including Dell SRDF and NetApp SnapMirror.
• Develop comprehensive storage recovery strategies aligned with enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) and Crisis Response (CR) programs.
• Create and maintain detailed storage recovery playbooks, contingency plans, and operational procedures.
• Design and validate recovery workflows to support full workload restoration across country data centers.
• Lead storage failover, failback, recovery testing, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Support cyber recovery initiatives, including recovery from ransomware incidents and other destructive events.

3. Capacity Planning and Infrastructure Optimization

• Assess current-state storage infrastructure, utilization, performance, and capacity.
• Develop capacity forecasts and long-term storage growth plans.
• Identify infrastructure gaps and recommend scalable storage solutions to meet future business demands.
• Evaluate storage performance, availability, utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Develop recommendations for storage expansion, refresh cycles, and infrastructure modernization.

4. Backup Infrastructure and Recovery Readiness

• Evaluate, procure, and implement storage and backup infrastructure required for enterprise-wide recovery.
• Ensure backup and recovery solutions support critical applications, databases, and business workloads.
• Validate data integrity, recoverability, and recovery readiness through regular testing.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, network, and business continuity teams to establish end-to-end recovery capabilities.

5. Strategic Planning and Vendor Management

• Develop storage infrastructure roadmaps, investment plans, and technology strategies.
• Manage storage-related budgets, cost forecasts, procurement activities, and vendor relationships.
• Evaluate vendor solutions, licensing models, infrastructure costs, and technology capabilities.
• Provide technical recommendations and investment proposals to senior leadership.
• Communicate infrastructure risks, recovery readiness, capacity forecasts, and strategic initiatives to executive stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in enterprise storage engineering, architecture, and infrastructure operations.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing SAN/NAS and storage replication solutions.
• Proven experience developing enterprise disaster recovery strategies and recovery playbooks.
• Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical storage environments across multiple data centers.
• Strong knowledge of backup infrastructure, business continuity, and cyber recovery requirements.
• Experience with infrastructure budgeting, capacity forecasting, procurement, and vendor management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and executive presentation skills.
• Relevant experience with enterprise storage platforms and disaster recovery technologies.
