Your Role As a Senior Staff Engineer Technology Development on our Research & Development team, you will shape the future of technology, drive groundbreaking projects, and bring new ideas to life. Define required unit processes for the technologies, including process stability assessments. Understand all important process blocks and their integration. Collaborate with partner frontend sites in Malaysia and Dresden. Proactively collaborate with R&D partners in all divisions, frontend & backend, unit process development, and integration.

Take responsibility for the entire process chain from the bare wafer substrate to the final processed wafer until diced and measured. Develop and characterize new process control structures and test structures for electrical measurements to ensure stable production.

Coordinate physical/chemical/electrical analyses to gain deeper understanding of potential failure modes within technology. Your Profile A Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Electrochemistry, or a comparable field.

Several years of experience in the semiconductor industry, ideally with an R&D background; Si and SiC expertise preferred. A solid technical background and expertise in semiconductor technologies, frontend or backend processing and integration.

Practical experience performing electrical measurements with power device analyzer/curve tracer and wafer probe stations. Good programming skills (LabView, Python, MatLab, etc.) are a plus. Project management experience is a plus. Fluent English skills; German skills are a plus.

Employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year, with higher compensation possible depending on your expertise and skills.
