Job Description Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be part of the Supply Chain Planning Team in Germany. You will advocate for customer satisfaction by focusing on delivery requirements and communicate those requirements to the operations team. Assist and support all members of the planning team in Neckarbischofsheim.

Partner with the procurement team to identify and prioritise critical supply components. Coordinate with new‑product teams to help achieve the best possible time to market. Please do not forward resumes to our recruiting team or other Microchip employees.

Your responsibilities include production and material planning of multiple product lines, participation in the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning Process (SIOP) and interfacing with BU Marketing and Sales to create and maintain sales forecasts.

Additionally, you will support the development and execution of supply‑chain planning processes within the Neckarbischofsheim location and the wider Systems Operations Group. Main Duties and Responsibilities Review MRP output to ensure appropriate responses to demand.

Work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. Support creation of production orders for manufacturing and sales order scheduling. Cross‑train with existing staff to cover sickness or vacation periods. Assist in the development of junior staff.

Produce and analyse data relating to demand, on‑time delivery and inventory. Assist with preparation of executive reporting. Participate in the SIOP process. Maintain customer demand profiles in Smoothie forecasting tool and Microsoft AX. Gather forecast information from various sources, including meetings with BU representatives and customers.

Set inventory levels in alignment with the above. Provide clear build requirements/forecast to internal and external manufacturing partners; monitor delivery and lead improvement activities. Work with inventory management to ensure inventory targets are met.

Partake in customer meetings when required, especially in critical supply and new‑product ramp situations. Manage new‑product ramp initiatives, ensuring availability of appropriate capacity and resources. Participate in and possibly lead continuous‑improvement activities within the supply chain. Demonstrate and adhere to Microchip’s values.

Requirements / Qualifications Minimum of six years in supply‑chain and inventory management in a medium/large manufacturing or logistics environment, ideally with a multi‑level bill‑of‑materials structure. Diploma or degree level qualification and relevant training in master planning, MRP or APICS certification or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of import and export requirements. Experience with MRP in a multi‑level BOM structure, ideally within a manufacturing organization. Excellent analytical skills with previous experience of interfacing and reporting at senior‑management level. Computer literacy is essential, especially Microsoft Excel.

Self‑starter with a track record of delivering results. Knowledge of Axapta/Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Knowledge of lean supply‑chain principles, ideally with demonstrable results in lean programmes. Competencies Goal‑oriented approach. Ability to analyse situations and assimilate data quickly.
