Senior People Operations Specialist (Germany / Workday) (m/f/d) We are recruiting a Senior People Operations Specialist who will manage employee data integrity within Workday and support various HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
Role Reports To Senior Manager People Data Solutions, EMEA & AMERICAS Location Europe/Middle East/Africa, Germany, North Rhine Westphalia, Rhein-Kreis Neuss Work Location Hybrid Employment Type 12‑month fixed‑term contract What You Will Do The Senior People Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of employee data in Workday throughout the employee lifecycle.
This role manages and processes employee job changes—including promotions, demotions, and lateral moves—ensuring updates are completed correctly and on time in alignment with People Operations policies and local legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities Process job changes, personal data changes, work schedule changes, contract type changes, and other informational updates to employee records; verify approvals and data accuracy. Collaborate with the German Works Council and manage the weekly Works Council hearing process.
Provide service bridging, employment verifications, and related information per established procedures. Ensure compliance with all applicable company, local, and regulatory requirements. Support local employee document management.
Review and maintain HR service documentation (e.g., SOPs, work instructions, process maps, SIPOC) to keep processes up‑to‑date. Support People Solutions requests throughout the employee lifecycle in line with global HR policies. Participate in Global/Regional projects tailored to country requirements.
Drive integrated Workday solutions and seamless process flows for the People Operations function. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Experience or education in HR covering employee lifecycle, People Data Management, payroll, labor legislation, etc. Knowledge of HR processes, procedures and compliance requirements.
Previous experience in a shared services environment. Problem‑solving skills and ability to anticipate challenges. Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities. Effective negotiation with various departments. Proficiency in Workday, ServiceNow and Microsoft Applications. Fluent in German and English.
Desired Qualifications Basic experience in German employment law and regulations. Additional EU language skills. Experience with Workday EIB mass upload.
