Administer and support HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems.

Partner with application teams for deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Responsibilities Provide operational support for mission critical, high availability HPE-NonStop (Tandem) compute platform. Perform system configuration, upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance.
Monitor system health, capacity, availability, and performance. Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies. Support disaster recovery (DR), business continuity, and high availability architectures. Implement system security policies, user access controls, and auditing. Analyze and design technical solutions to address business needs.
Troubleshoot systems to increase quality. Identify, investigate, and propose solutions to technical problems. Develop, test, and modify software to improve efficiency of internal operating systems. Provide technical support for issues surrounding software/hardware failures and the like.
Provide technical expertise within Information Technology Projects. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Requires a bachelor’s in computer science, information systems or another related field. Hands‑on experience supporting HPE NonStop systems.
A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. Experience with NonStop capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of programming and systems analysis and related applications. Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees. Must be able to meet deadlines. Ability to set and maintain high‑quality work standards. Ability to lead a group. Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods.
