Act as an integral part of a cross‑functional team focused on policy, process, and control continuous improvement and standardization, with a heavy emphasis on technology development.
Support or assist direct counterparty‑facing and other relevant functional teams in building and maintaining provider relationships through education, tools, analytical support, performance monitoring, supplemental reporting, and direct interactions as needed.
Responsibilities Partner with numerous stakeholders and leaders—including accounting, actuarial, claims, operations, network, market, product, data, engineering, and legal—to ensure policies, procedures, controls, and reporting facilitate the achievement of provider risk sharing and reinsurance objectives.
Own or assist in the generation of risk provider balances and other aspects of the monthly financial closing process, including settlement statements, previews, invoicing, deficit collection, reserves, reinsurance accounting, and surplus/deficit forecasting.
Partner closely with network, data, engineering, and operations leadership to facilitate the exchange of information and enable reporting requested by third‑party providers. Collaborate with senior leaders to influence and evolve the Company’s strategy around contractual agreements.
Facilitate the successful execution and achievement of related policies, procedures, controls, and reporting, as desired by the Company or contractually agreed.
Support and/or lead various end‑to‑end process activities such as contracting/negotiations, monitoring, reconciliation, reporting, governance, dispute resolution, accounting, settlement, and recoupment/collection.
Ensure control activities in these areas are designed and operate effectively to achieve the Company’s objectives—including accurate, timely accounting and reporting, compliance with contractual terms, stewardship over cash and other assets, and achievement of desired counterparty performance and service levels.
Become recognized over time as a key subject‑matter expert resource and process owner, both internally and externally. Own and be responsible for satisfying applicable audit, examination, and/or other regulatory or compliance inquiries and requests. Requirements Healthcare services and/or health insurance experience.
Experience with value‑based care contracts. A minimum of 5–10 years of finance and/or accounting experience. An undergraduate and/or graduate degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, startup environment. Highly motivated, proactive, relationship‑natured, and detail‑oriented approach.
Medicare Advantage experience (preferred). Experience with intercompany risk providers or similar agreements (ideal). #J-18808-Ljbffr
