From multinational pooling and captive services to innovative global underwriting programs, we offer multinational companies a holistic approach to risk management and financing solutions, maximizing the value of their global employee benefit plans. /p pWe are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Senior Captive Underwriter to join our dynamic and international environment.

In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for any technical topics related to our corporate customers, handling complex new and renewal cases as part of a team of Life, Disability, Accident, and Group Medical underwriters.

You will be integral in supporting the sales team in winning new customers, setting up reinsurance arrangements, and offering underwriting support to captives.

This position can be based in either Zurich or London, providing a fantastic opportunity to work in a truly global context. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liContribute to the request for proposal process alongside the sales team, bringing technical expertise to the ZGEBS proposal. /li liSupport the implementation process for newly acquired captives by setting up the reinsurance programme, including the reinsurance agreement wording and any credit‑risk related matters. /li liProvide professional underwriting support to captives for the onboarding and renewal of any cases being fronted through the ZGEBS network, while ensuring ZGEBS profitability targets are met. /li liApply a disciplined approach to risk assessment of new and renewal business for your own portfolio of customers. /li liPlay an active role in promoting the ZGEBS captive expertise externally by representing ZGEBS in finalist presentations, exchanging regularly with captive customers, and presenting at professional conferences and with employee benefit consultants. /li liDevelop and enhance the ZGEBS captive proposition by listening to market demands and aligning them with Zurich’s objectives, directly shaping our global solutions and client satisfaction. /li liEvaluate captive protection needs and provide offers in line with ZGEBS profitability and risk appetite. /li liProvide broader underwriting support to the ZGEBS underwriting team, including deputising other underwriters during absences. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li6‑8 years of practical experience in underwriting employee benefit schemes for Life and/or Health business. /li liDegree in mathematics, finance or a related field. /li liAbility to quickly understand and use new technical information and analyse pricing datasets. /li liStrong analytical and technical skills with a high degree of accuracy in daily work. /li liExceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. /li liTeam player who enjoys working in a dynamic and multi‑cultural organisation. /li liProficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). /li liStrong communication skills; comfortable presenting to and discussing with customers and communicating technical topics to a wide range of stakeholders, including sales, operations and external customers. /li liExperience in setting up reinsurance agreements and a good understanding of reinsurance covers is an advantage. /li /ul h3Job Details /h3 ul libWork Location /b 8002 Zürich (ZH) /li libWorkload /b 80% – 100% /li libEmployment start /b Immediately /li libEmployment duration /b Permanent /li libWork experience /b More than 3 years /li libEducation /b Bachelor’s degree from a university or equivalent /li libQualification /b skilled /li libEnglish (orally) /b Very good knowledge /li libEnglish (written) /b Very good knowledge /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pImagine working in one of the world’s most sustainable workplaces.
