Job Summary The Senior Business Director serves as the strategic leader of the region, overseeing a team of Area Business Leads and coordinating cross-functionally to drive commercial excellence, elevate customer experience, and enhance patient outcomes.
The Senior Business Director will engage directly with senior leadership and Home Office partners to ensure alignment, performance, and talent development in support of both short‑term results and long‑term growth. Empower ecosystem teams with tools, insights, and autonomy needed to operate effectively in a patient‑centric model.

This role owns the regional P&L, shapes and executes the regional business strategy, and leads organizational transformation within a dynamic and evolving ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities Provide Strategic Leadership to Shape Regional Business Strategy Lead the development of the regional business plan and long‑term strategy, ensuring alignment with national priorities, local ecosystem dynamics, and customer/patient needs.
Analyze and synthesize regional insights—including customer, competitive, financial, and market dynamics—to identify strategic opportunities and risks. Partner closely with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, Marketing, and Data & Analytics to design localized strategies and customer engagement approaches.
Sponsor and guide regional market research efforts to maintain a real‑time understanding of evolving customer and system needs. Ensure national strategies and tactics are effectively translated and adapted into regionally relevant execution plans.
Deliver Execution Excellence Across the Commercial Ecosystem Lead the execution of the regional commercial strategy to meet or exceed revenue, OPEX, forecast accuracy, and performance targets.
Establish disciplined operating rhythms, including business reviews, forecasting, and performance tracking, to ensure accountability and strong commercial pull‑through. Optimize resource allocation, role mix, and deployment decisions to best serve ecosystem needs and improve customer experience.
Oversee hiring, training, and retention practices to ensure a high‑performing, highly engaged organization. Provide direct engagement with key accounts, reinforcing strategic relationships and modeling high‑impact customer partnership behaviors.
Drive competitive readiness by maintaining a deep understanding of evolving market dynamics and leading local strategies to win in a rapidly changing landscape.
Develop Talent & Build a High‑Performance, High‑Engagement Culture Create an environment where talent thrives through consistent coaching, clear expectations, and meaningful developmental opportunities. Identify high‑potential individuals, build succession plans, and actively support leadership pipeline development.
Recognize and reward high performance and role‑model behaviors that reinforce organizational values and a growth mindset. Champion new ways of working—including ecosystem‑based engagement models—and role‑model behaviors that support cultural transformation.
Collaborate with regional and national leaders to design and implement change management strategies that ensure long‑term adoption and sustainability. Align cross‑functional stakeholders behind a shared regional vision, breaking down silos and fostering collaboration to bring the full power of the organization to customers.
Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or related) preferred. 5-7+ years of leadership experience. CNS/PSYCH/PEDS therapeutic experience preferred. Cross‑functional commercial experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech or related healthcare ecosystems.
Prior field sales management and/or marketing leadership experience required. Proven experience managing a P&L and shaping business strategy. Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, drive transformation, and operate effectively in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
Experience developing account strategies or partnership models with key healthcare stakeholders is a plus. Ability to synthesize insights, influence senior leadership, and secure alignment for strategic plans. Deep understanding of industry compliance, regulatory environment, and standards of practice.

Compensation Minimum $215,353.00 - Maximum $322,000.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for individuals who are hired in the role to perform in the United States.
Other elements may be used to determine actual pay such as the candidate’s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role. Typically, actual pay will be positioned within the established range, rather than at its minimum or maximum.
