We are working with a leading international offshore engineering consultancy specializing in Deepwater oil & gas, energy infrastructure, and subsea development projects.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will lead the technical execution of Deepwater pipeline and subsea infrastructure projects from concept selection through detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.

This role requires extensive experience in Deepwater EPC projects , pipeline engineering , spool design , and subsea jumper design , along with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work within multinational project teams. Fluency in both German and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pipeline engineering activities for offshore and Deepwater EPC developments.

• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout FEED and detailed design phases.

• Perform and review subsea pipeline routing, stress analysis, wall thickness design, and installation engineering.

• Oversee the design and verification of rigid spools, tie-in spools, and subsea jumpers.

• Provide technical leadership for fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in offshore pipeline engineering.

• Proven experience leading Deepwater EPC projects.

• Extensive knowledge of subsea pipeline systems, spool design, and jumper design.

• Demonstrated experience managing client-facing engineering teams.

• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in the North Sea, Mediterranean, Gulf of Mexico, or West African offshore regions.

• Familiarity with SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) projects.

• Knowledge of flexible and rigid pipeline systems.

• Previous experience acting as Engineering Manager or Technical Authority.

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional certification.

Technical Skills

• Pipeline design and analysis software (ANSYS, Abaqus, AutoPIPE, OFFPIPE, OrcaFlex)

• DNV-ST-F101 and offshore design standards

• Subsea spool and jumper design methodologies

• Pipeline buckling and on-bottom stability assessments

• Installation analysis and offshore construction support

• Risk assessment and engineering management tools
