About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Backend Engineer to join their entirely remote engineering team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend services and APIs.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for efficiency and robustness.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code using languages like Python , Go , or Java .
• Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers to define API requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentoring other engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring system stability and minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development with a proven track record of building complex systems.
• Strong expertise in at least one modern backend programming language and associated frameworks.
• Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases , caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and strong communication abilities for remote collaboration.
