For our client, a leading global universal bank with its European headquarters in Frankfurt, we are currently looking for an Vice President - Senior Accountant (gn) - Banking to strengthen the team.
Purpose of job
The role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and high data quality within the Finance & Control function. It contributes to the delivery of IFRS-based reporting, statutory financial statements, and the ongoing development of reporting and data management processes. The position also supports automation, efficiency, and compliance initiatives, while enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Tasks
- Take ownership of financial reporting tools and support their ongoing development, ensuring data integrity and consistency
- Prepare and deliver IFRS group financial reporting as well as statutory financial statements
- Drive data management, automation, and reporting enhancement initiatives within Finance & Control.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Work closely with IT, regulatory reporting teams, and senior management across the EMEA region
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are considered an advantage
- Extensive experience gained within international financial institutions or consultancy environments
- Strong expertise in IFRS; knowledge of HGB is considered an advantage
- Advanced analytical and IT skills, particularly in Excel and Power BI; experience with data management or automation tools is beneficial
- Proven ability to manage and interpret financial data with a high degree of accuracy and structure
