Remote Lead Structural Engineer

Our client, a prestigious international engineering consultancy, is actively seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Manage structural engineering project timelines and deliverables.
• Oversee and mentor a team of structural engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform structural reviews and quality assurance checks on designs.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical expertise and solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Manage client relationships and participate in project meetings.
• Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering technology and practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Extensive experience leading engineering teams and projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD. Pro) and CAD software.
• Deep understanding of various construction materials and building systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, suitable for remote collaboration.
• Demonstrated experience working on projects within Stellenbosch, Western Cape, or similar contexts is highly advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.
