Senior UX Designer (Remote - Select Countries)

Non-US hires are employed through a local Employer of Record and need current work authorization in their country. Core overlap hours: 14:00-18:00 UTC. A non-profit organization that runs a large free knowledge platform is hiring a senior product designer to join a new multi-disciplinary product team focused on trust and safety. You will shape the user experience and feed directly into product strategy. Your main focus will be a product team serving new and casual readers, with features that help them learn and engage.

Responsibilities

• Simplify complex flows into clear, approachable experiences for users.
• Build prototypes and run experiments to test design hypotheses quickly.
• Use and evolve the existing design system and guidelines, taking features from early sketches to implementation.
• Apply accessibility standards to your designs.
• Work with product managers and engineers on product plans and design processes.
• Explain complex concepts simply for readers and volunteer communities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience on design teams.
• Strong communication of design goals and process to peers and stakeholders, with the ability to give and receive feedback.
• Experience conducting research, or working alongside UX researchers, to understand user behaviour.
• Ability to balance long-term ideas with near-term delivery.
• Self-motivated, keen to grow skills and share learning with others.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent related work experience. Current work authorization in your country of residence.
