We are currently looking for our next SeniorTendering Manager (all genders) to join the Europe Product+ Sales team.

Lead spec‑in/spec‑out activities, product qualification, tendering and tendering team co‑ordination, initiation and co‑ordination of the tendering process, ensuring continuous follow‑up and bid quality.

Build competitive technical‑commercial offers with the tendering team, considering customer needs, product competitiveness, and factory constraints. Finalize contracts and ensure smooth handover to factory execution teams. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities, combined with a collaborative team mindset.

GE Grid Solutions and its Power Transmission (PT) business line focus on delivering innovative products and solutions aimed at efficiently transferring electrical energy across various distances and applications.

This business line typically offers a range of products, such as transformers, switchgear, power cables, and related technologies that are essential for maintaining the integrity and reliability of electrical grids. You will cover Europe with focus on North/Central/East.

Job Mission In this role YOU will be responsible for Product+ business development, technical prescription, co‑ordination of tendering activities, product qualification and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You will build & implement the right strategy together with the Product Sales Specialist (PSS) and arrange the right setting and tendering resources for the specific opportunities. This position reports to Europe Product+ Sales Leader.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities Drive regional commercial activity for the Product+ portfolio, ensuring alignment with order intake and margin targets while monitoring competitor offerings. Engage regularly with customers alongside Account Managers to understand needs, shape demand, and refine go‑to‑market channel strategies.

Define project strategies by assessing complexity, analysing RFQs (Request For Quote), and developing tailored value propositions. Set and validate pricing through Estimate Analysis Sheets in coordination with PSS, Account Managers and PL Commercial.

Drive internal tender approvals and lead comprehensive risk assessments across commercial, financial, legal, and H&S dimensions. Prepare and present technical and commercial offers, manage negotiations, and resolve technical/commercial clarifications with customers.

Your Profile Electrical engineering degree with strong technical expertise in high‑voltage substation business and products and solid knowledge of the regional electrical transmission ecosystem (utilities, EPCs, contractors).

Extensive experience in commercial, sales, or tendering roles within a multinational environment, also project management experience is welcome. Professional proficiency in English and German, with willingness to travel (additional Slavic language highly welcome e.g. PL, ASO).

Proven ability to analyse complex issues, resolve problems, and lead programs or projects effectively. Skilled in planning, documenting, marketing, and executing programs with a structured, results‑oriented approach. Travelling time required will be around 20% mainly within the Europe region.

The minimum annual gross salary for this position, in line with the Austrian collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry, is EUR 54,968.06 (full‑time, 38.5 hours/week).
