Overview In this role you will lead the end-to-end qualification of energetic subsystems (solid rocket motors, warheads, pyrotechnics, SAF devices) to support platform-level efforts. You will collaborate with propulsion, mechanics, electronics, and software teams to build a defensible Engineering Qualification Program aligned with NATO standards. You will define test campaigns, manage verification and safety evidence, and ensure traceability from concept to in-service surveillance. This role combines hands-on test activity with rigorous documentation to drive reliable, certifications-ready products.
You will work across labs, production, and testing sites and influence dangerous-energy systems with a Verantwortungsbereiche Coordinate qualification overlays across disciplines to form a coherent system-level program Lead end-to-end qualification per certification frameworks and internal processes Maintain the Qualification Data Pack (plans, procedures, requirements, verification matrices, reports) Define test campaigns and acceptance criteria, coordinating environmental, mechanical, safety, and performance tests to NATO AECTP, STANAG, and AOP standards Engage with end users, lead engineers, and customers to capture system and subsystem requirements for tailored qualification Maintain requirements traceability and cross-references, ensuring verifiable evidence Manage re-qualification/delta qualification and assess triggers against framework criteria Support hazard and safety
assessments and underpin the system safety case and Statement of Qualification Help establish a mature systems and qualification engineering discipline within the organization Zentrale Anforderungen BSc. or MSc. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or related engineering 3+ years in systems engineering of energetic/propulsion/aerospace systems in defense or aerospace Knowledge of gate-driven, V-model qualification lifecycle and associated entry/exit criteria Extensive experience with NATO/STANAG/AECTP/AOP, or equivalent safety frameworks Proven authoring of qualification plans, test procedures, verification matrices, and qualification reports Experience with configuration management, requirements traceability, and document control on complex hardware Strong documentation discipline and ability to assemble defensible evidence packages Hands-on work across laboratory, integration, and test
