Implements infrastructure systems and components in support of business and IT applications such as hardware, servers, software (including operating systems, packaged software, configuration files, security certificates, database systems, etc.), and appliances.
Independently conducts implementations that include installation, configuration, update, documentation and knowledge transfer. Creates short-term solutions to alleviate problem symptoms and identifies root causes to develop and execute long-term remediation plans.
Contributes to compliance-related activities such as reporting, baseline and verifications. Participates in the application development process by reviewing non-functional requirements and proposing, designing, and delivering supporting infrastructure.
Occasionally manages small‑scale IT projects or exercises technical leadership to oversee architecture design and validation where relevant systems delivery is involved. Shares knowledge and mentors less experienced staff.
Initiates, promotes, and exemplifies best practices in areas of capacity, asset/inventory, configuration, update, procurement, and vendor engagement.
Develops, designs, tests, and documents improvement solutions and processes (such as scripting, automation, and workflow) aimed at improving system efficiency, reliability, scalability, and cost effectiveness.

Maintains regular attendance on a full-time schedule of at least 8 hours and 40 hours per week.
Requirements BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 5 to 7 years of prior working experience in systems engineering or related roles in a medium or large organization. Strong knowledge in Linux fundamentals (RedHat), container management (Kubernetes flavors), and networking.
Scripting/automation knowledge in Linux and other CICD/DevOps toolsets (GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell). Operating experience in Proxmox and at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Deep understanding of security aspects of the work (authentication/authorization, permission, IAM roles, package sniffer, SSH keys, certificates, KMS, CIS, SOX, PCI). Experience supporting Apache/Tomcat, messaging systems, Spring Boot, proxies, VIPs, and bastion hosts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
