Overview
This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE) and supports Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. Lead inter‑module development priorities and expectations to resolve integration issues between lead engineers and their respective teams.
As an Aerospace Systems Engineer, you will configure the Reentry System and directly impact the design and operation of future Blue Origin missions. Responsibilities Contribute to the overall physical integration and packaging of the structural, mechanical, fluids and avionics subsystems within the integrated vehicle.
Create and manage interface definitions between subsystems with appropriate control documents and ensure that the configuration supports major design reviews and program milestones. Continually assess design for integrated manufacturing, assembly, test and operations and drive design to optimize for manufacturability, quality, and cost.
Coordinate regular configuration reviews to address module level interfaces, subsystem functionality, assembly, and operations. Coordinate the cross‑functional change management process, facilitating design reviews and ensuring communication between all groups affected by the change.
