Senior System Architect ML & AI 100% (f/m/d)

Overview As part of the System Architects team within global IT Architecture, you shape end-to-end architectures for enterprise AI and ML solutions. You ensure scalable, secure, and reusable AI capabilities aligned with enterprise principles and business priorities. You collaborate across domain and foundation teams to drive architecture decisions and enable high-quality delivery. This role offers the chance to influence AI platform design and integrate with enterprise data and security standards.

Verantwortungsbereiche Design and own Solution Architectures for applications and AI platform components in delivery Ensure architectures align with domain target architectures and architecture standards Document and obtain ADR approvals for architecture decisions Advise and coach engineers on implementation of architectures Refine ART-level target architecture within team contexts and drive hands-on architectural design for AI/ML solutions Support ART initiatives (e.g., AI automation orchestration layer) by translating high-level designs into concrete solutions Ensure alignment with enterprise platforms, data capabilities, security standards, and MLOps Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt and escalate proactively Contribute architectural input to PI Planning, backlog refinement, and roadmap discussions Act as primary architectural contact for assigned teams and

collaborate with Lead Architect and peers Zentrale Anforderungen At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Architect in complex IT environments At least 5 years of experience as a Lead or Senior Software Engineer with hands-on AI/ML experience Proven ability to design and operate solution architectures end-to-end Ability to evaluate options and make trade-off decisions Experience coordinating with business and technology stakeholders and architecture colleagues Proactive and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines Hands-on experience delivering AI/ML solutions in scalable enterprise platforms Strong understanding of AI/ML solution patterns, data pipelines, orchestration, and platform integration Ability to translate high-level architectures into team-level designs Experience working across multiple teams to maintain alignment Strong communication skills for technical and

non-technical stakeholders Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field Additional certifications (e.g., SAFe, cloud, architecture, AI/ML) are advantageous English: business fluent Solid foundation in modern architectures (event-driven, microservices, modular monoliths) Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and platform integration patterns Practical familiarity with AI/ML platforms, data pipelines, orchestration, and model lifecycle Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and production operations Ability to work effectively in agile/SAFe environments with common tooling Proactive mindset Strong communication Collaborative AI/ML platforms and ecosystems Data pipelines and orchestration MLOps and model lifecycle concepts
