ppIn the Senior Specialist - Procurement Category Manager Consumables role, you will report to the Senior Lead – Procurement Category Manager, Logistics on the Global Procurement team supporting the Global Supply Chain Transformation region/function/product.

You will support the strategic sourcing and category management for high‑impact consumables, primarily corrugate, specialized packaging materials, and other warehousing consumables essential to our global distribution network across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. /p h3Your mission /h3 ul liCategory Strategy: Develop and execute flexible category management support for consumables, specifically focused on corrugate, tape, void fill, and other essential packing materials. /li liSourcing RFP Management: Lead sourcing activities and business case creation for packaging initiatives, ensuring all decisions are supported by rigorous analysis and sustainability goals. /li liVendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with global packaging vendors to ensure operational visibility, quality control, and accountability. /li liValue Engineering: Proactively identify and execute value engineering opportunities to optimize packaging design, reduce waste, and drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction. /li liStakeholder Alignment: Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders from supply chain, operations, and finance to ensure alignment on consumables specs, lead times, and inventory levels. /li liOperational Reporting: Create and standardize internal reports to drive continuous visibility into spend, multi‑channel packaging usage, and supplier performance. /li liContinuous Improvement: Troubleshoot problems within the consumables supply chain and develop action plans to drive business optimization and cost savings. /li liInnovation Support: Work closely with product and sustainability teams to test and implement new eco‑friendly packaging materials that align with On's mission. /li /ul h3Your story /h3 ul liPackaging Expertise: Ability to understand and articulate operational root cause analysis as it relates to packaging performance and distribution efficiency. /li liCommercial Credibility: Skill to quickly build credibility and trust with external vendors and internal stakeholders during technical and commercial negotiations. /li liValue Creation: A self‑starter who proactively seeks business optimization and cost savings through data‑driven business cases. /li liAccountability: Ability to maintain and track critical action items and serve as a ‘single source of truth’ for consumables data. /li liResilience Diplomacy: Capacity to be a change agent, demonstrating persistence and resilience when navigating market fluctuations in raw materials. /li /ul h3Attributes Of a Successful Candidate /h3 ul liStrong demonstrated ability to work independently, manage data‑intensive projects, and engage remote teams. /li liExcellent discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive commercial information. /li liSolid business judgment, including the ability to anticipate the impact of procurement decisions on the global supply chain. /li liMust demonstrate an energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and passion and interest in On Running. /li liA Bachelor’s degree; however, a combination of college education and related work experience may be used as a substitute. /li liMinimum 5 years of experience in procurement, category management, or a specialized packaging role in a fast‑paced environment. /li liExpert knowledge and proficiency with MS Office applications. /li liProficiency with modern sourcing and procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, or similar platforms). /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 pOn is a place centered around growth and progress.
