What this role is really about Quantum hardware is complex. The control software is even more complex. If this layer fails, nothing works. You make sure it doesn’t. Your impact You build automated test systems that actually matter. Not as documentation theater - as real protection. You test software that talks to hardware. Real devices.
Real signals. Real edge cases. You design system-level validation. Integration. Regression. Performance. You think beyond single components. You find problems before they become expensive. You don’t just execute test cases. You design the safety net. You help scale quality. As the system grows in complexity, your test architecture grows with it.
You’ll thrive here if you … … care about engineering quality deeply … like complex systems more than clean toy problems … enjoy debugging across software and hardware … prefer building robust infrastructure over shiny features … want your work to protect something real Your background Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or similar 5+ years in software testing / verification Strong Python experience Experience with SIL and/or HIL testing Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines Fluent English Strong plus Experience in robotics, aerospace, automotive or other safety-critical systems Hardware communication protocols (SCPI, Modbus, serial, TCP) Experience testing control systems Why this is different You are not testing a web product.
You are building the verification backbone of a frontier technology. Quantum computers built in Europe. Installed at leading research institutions. This is deep tech at system level. Not every test engineering role protects a machine that pushes the boundaries of physics. This one does.
