Provides knowledge transfer and training to the test team as needed. Interact with development teams, project managers, internal and external customers, senior management, and external vendors. Report and document defects found during testing and work across functional teams to resolve defects.

POSITION PURPOSE Individuals within the Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer role deliver automated solutions for software processes. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and tracks testing activities to ensure the successful deployment of projects.

Uses technical skills, expertise, and application knowledge to support clients, developers, and testers. Performs or participates in various types of testing and post‑implementation reviews as determined by the project. Key responsibilities include: Identify opportunities for inserting more quality into software processes.

Design and execute QA tests. Run tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware, and software. Identify bugs and quality issues in development, service, or business processes. Collaborate with other business units to understand business needs and ensure quality requirements are met.

Support and enable key business processes through functional testing. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities. NATURE AND SCOPE This role does not manage people. This role reports to the Manager, IT Quality Assurance.

Qualifications Education Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management required, or four years of related work experience can be used in lieu of a degree.

Work Experience 5 years of quality assurance related work experience, which could include experience in the following areas: Professional systems or programming background. Database technologies and SQL required. Automated testing experience, including planning and conducting functional and performance testing, preferred.

Testing web, client‑server, infrastructure, business process, or mainframe applications, testing systems installation and maintenance, automated testing tools and QA methodologies, preferred. Experience with Microsoft TFS/ Azure DevOps, preferred. Experience with Epic Tapestry and Cheers, preferred.

Skills and Abilities Must have demonstrated ability to analyze and solve logical problems such as those found in mathematics, statistics, etc. Certifications in software quality, or technical equivalent, preferred. Licenses and Certifications None required.

Accountabilities and Essential Functions Analytical Thinking: Coordinate information gathering and reporting, review trends, conduct research, prioritize issues, identify relationships, and determine root causes.

Business Function Knowledge: Identify operating needs, propose technical plans aligned with business objectives, and lead actions to enhance business function standards. Consulting: Investigate and interpret operational issues, provide guidance, and suggest cautions as appropriate.

Customer Service Orientation: Ask questions, investigate needs, provide prompt service, monitor progress, and educate clients on product usage. Information Seeking: Utilize data sources, verify accuracy, seek appropriate guidance, and uncover root causes.

Innovation: Share new ideas, identify patterns, generate solutions, involve stakeholders, and take calculated risks. Problem Solving: Apply problem‑solving methodologies, determine causes, devise testing methodologies, recommend resources, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Quality Assurance: Utilize multiple approaches, demonstrate knowledge of testing tools, document outcomes, and review with stakeholders. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the job.
