Description iSoftStone, Inc. is Seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to Join Our Team in Frankfurt, Germany! We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and a strong background in leading engineering teams.

This role will oversee our Frankfurt, Germany-based development team while partnering closely with engineering stakeholders in Seattle, Washington. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a Software Engineering team based in Germany; collaborate closely with our Seattle development organization.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure test strategies, technical direction, and business goals remain aligned. Five+ years of experience leading hybrid and/or remote Software Engineering teams. Experience with one or more modern programming languages, such as JavaScript (Node.js), Go, Ruby, or C++.

You will guide ongoing application development, lead upcoming initiatives, and help drive technical excellence in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Design and develop applications across a hybrid on-prem/cloud platform primarily running on Linux. Contribute to both ongoing development efforts and the design of new project initiatives.

Own API quality assurance, including automated testing, integration testing, and reporting. Drive engineering best practices in an Agile development environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Strong hands-on experience in software development and building distributed or IoT-connected systems. Working knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL/KV stores). Solid Linux fundamentals and shell scripting experience. Strong API design and automated testing skills. Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.

Experience with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Preferred Qualifications: IoT experience - MQTT, device messaging, edge computing, sensor/embedded integrations.
