If you are passionate about robotics and driven to innovate real‑world deployments of robots, we encourage you to join us in shaping the future of intelligent robotics. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liIntegrate the software stack for the robot, including simulation and real‑world hardware, and collaborate with the experts of the different substacks (AI‑driven autonomy, SLAM, computer vision, manipulations, etc). /li liCollaborate with the Embedded Systems team to ensure proper interfacing between platform software and hardware drivers. /li liImplement deployment‑ready code for the real robot, optimized for the robot’s computational constraints. /li liWork closely with the DevOps team to integrate platform development into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient build, test, and deployment processes. /li liProvide technical guidance to the Field Engineering team for platform deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance. /li liProvide expert guidance to product managers and executives for strategic decision‑making. /li liCreate and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices to streamline knowledge sharing. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline. /li liA minimum of five years of industry or research experience, with PhD experience applicable. /li liStrong background in robotics or autonomous driving, with expertise across the full stack—encompassing sensors, perception, mapping, localization, navigation, control. /li liExperience with deploying software on hardware platforms. /li liAbility to write production‑level code in modern C++. /li liAbility to prototype algorithms in Python. /li liExperience with ROS (Robot Operating System). /li liPhD or Master’s degree in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline, or an equivalent amount of industry experience. /li liExperience with autonomous robots, cars or other vehicles. /li liExperience in managing a software team. /li /ul pAmazon RIVR is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that values every perspective.

By combining custom robot hardware, onboard autonomy, and cloud‑based coordination, Amazon RIVR is building the next generation of safe, reliable autonomous robots for last‑mile delivery. /p h3Job Description /h3 pAs a Senior Software Engineer for the Robot Platform, you will be a key player in the design, development, and integration of our robotic platform.
Besides collaborating with all software and AI engineers, your role will involve working closely with Embedded Systems to ensure proper interfacing between software and hardware, DevOps to ensure seamless software integration and deployment, and with Field Engineering to support the real‑world deployment of our robotic systems.
You will learn the ins and outs of the software deployed in simulation and on hardware, and your expertise will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our robotic platforms.
