What You Will Do Design, build, and operate components of a real-time data platform (streaming pipelines, backend services, data products) Take ownership of well-defined services or components, including reliability, performance, and data quality Contribute across the stack (backend systems, data pipelines, domain-specific components) Collaborate with product and domain stakeholders to implement pragmatic technical solutions Contribute to engineering practices (testing, code reviews, incident learnings, delivery) What You Bring Experience building production-grade software systems (typically 4–6+ years) Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java/Scala Experience with distributed systems (APIs, scalable services, async processing) Hands‑on experience with streaming/data systems (e.g., Kafka, Flink) Solid approach to code quality, testing, and maintainability Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams with engineers and stakeholders Ability to communicate technical concepts and trade‑offs clearly in English and German Nice to have Data correctness patterns (schemas/contracts, idempotency, backfills) Cloud‑native environments (containers, orchestration, IaC) Mobility, geospatial, or regulated domain experience Experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools Exposure to MLOps or data‑driven systems in production Why us?
