You'll design systems that run across our rapidly growing fleet with minimal performance overhead, partner closely with security and infrastructure engineers, and help shape the technical direction of endpoint detection at Anthropic. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liBuild kernel-level security detections for our AI platform, including eBPF-based sensors for Linux endpoints /li liDesign and implement scalable data pipelines for ingesting and processing security telemetry across our infrastructure /li liArchitect monitoring solutions for production systems that minimize performance impact on ML workloads /li liPrototype new security tooling and analytics capabilities, including applications of Claude to detection and response workflows /li liPartner with security and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable systems /li liContribute to the growth of the Security team through code reviews, mentorship, and hiring /li liParticipate in an on-call rotation /li liBackground in software engineering with a focus on security, infrastructure, Linux internals, and/or operating systems /li liAbility to write maintainable and secure code in Rust and/or C/C++ /li liStrong understanding of operating system internals and OS security primitives /li liExperience with test-driven development and CI/CD workflows /li liExperience partnering with security teams to translate requirements into technical solutions /li liTrack record of leading technical projects with minimal guidance and bringing clarity to ambiguous problems /li /ul h3Preferred qualifications /h3 ul li7+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time spent on security, infrastructure, or operating systems work /li liDirect experience with eBPF and kernel-level instrumentation /li liExperience with detection-as-code workflows /li liExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation /li liBackground building security tooling from the ground up /li liExperience implementing security monitoring solutions (SIEM, log aggregation, EDR) /li liBackground in detection engineering or security operations /li liExperience with SOAR platform or security automation development /li liExperience with data lake and database architecture, or query optimization over large datasets /li liExperience with API design and internal platform development /li liTrack record of applying ML or AI to security problems /li liExperience scaling security operations in a high-growth environment /li liExperience contributing to hiring, mentorship, and engineering culture on a security team /li /ul h3Logistics /h3 pMinimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. /p pRequired field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience. /p pMinimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position. /p pLocation-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.

We're looking for a senior engineer to architect and implement node-layer security sensors, develop kernel-based detection systems for ML workloads, and build tooling that leverages Claude to transform how security operations work. /p pThis is a high-ownership role on a small team.
