Together, we will push boundaries and make a lasting impact on the energy transition.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridYou will be mainly accountable for:Pioneer innovative concepts for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and interference compliance in high-power convertersDevelop EMC models to predict and analyze electromagnetic compatibility and optimize electromagnetic design of circuits and systemsEMC measurements of conducted and radiated emissions of converters and HF characterization of componentsPatent innovative solutions and demonstrate technology leadership through e.g., high-impact publicationsCollaborate closely with ABB research centers, business units, and universities to transition research into real-world applicationsQualifications for the rolePhD in electrical engineering, physics or related discipline with specialization in power electronics or electromagneticsProven research excellence demonstrated through high-impact publications and patentsDeep technical expertise in:EMC/EMI theory and solid theoretical background in electromagnetic modelling and field simulationsPower electronic converter topologies, filters, magnetics, and semiconductor switching devicesSimulation tools such as CST, COMSOL, ANSYS, SPICE circuit simulator (LTSpice, SIMetrix), SimulinkHands-on laboratory skills in HF-electromagnetic measurements (conducted and/or radiated emissions), with a proactive, self-driven approach to designing, building, and testing EMC/EMI-compliant power converters.
