Senior Remote Project Manager, Global Software Rollout

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding international technology firm, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead a critical global software rollout initiative. This role is entirely remote, offering the successful candidate the flexibility to work from anywhere while managing a complex, distributed project. The primary focus will be on the successful deployment of a new enterprise-level software solution across multiple international subsidiaries. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, and the ability to manage diverse, remote-based teams effectively. The role requires proactive communication and a strong results-oriented approach to ensure project success on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a global software deployment project.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and budget oversight.
• Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed project team, fostering collaboration and accountability in a remote setting.
• Manage communication channels and protocols to ensure seamless information flow among all project stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Ensure the software is deployed on time, within budget, and meets all technical and user requirements.
• Coordinate with various departments, including IT, product development, regional leads, and end-users, to facilitate adoption.
• Implement robust change management strategies to support user transition and system integration.
• Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports to senior leadership.
• Champion best practices for remote project management and virtual team collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or PMP/Agile certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 9 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years managing large-scale, complex software implementation projects.
• Proven experience in managing global projects and leading distributed, remote teams.
• In-depth understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and IT infrastructure.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, particularly in a virtual environment.
• Proficiency in modern project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Teams).
• Demonstrated ability to manage significant budgets and control project expenditures effectively.
• Experience working in a remote-first organization is essential.
