Leadership & Stakeholder Management Team leadership – Manage QEHS managers, advisors, and subcontractor safety personnel. Cross‑functional collaboration – Work closely with construction, commissioning, and quality teams to embed QEHS in all phases. Proven experience leading QEHS teams on complex, fast‑paced projects.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior QEHS Lead for a Data Centre project in Berlin, Germany . This is a high authority role combining Quality , Environment , Health , and Safety leadership. Our core sectors are Energy, Power and Renewables, Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Data Centres.
We provide best in class contracting solutions with in‑house, flexible resources capable of delivering a personable and consistent service to our customers. Over the past 40 years we have delivered projects for Irish and multinational clients across the globe.
We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K., Germany, Denmark and Sweden. The Senior QEHS Lead oversees all Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety functions on a large‑scale data centre project.
The position reports to the Project Director and acts as the primary QEHS interface with clients, regulators, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Quality Management Quality governance – Establish and maintain project‑specific quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and QA/QC procedures aligned with corporate standards.
Compliance audits – Lead quality audits, verify adherence to specifications, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Document control – Oversee quality documentation, NCR management, and close‑out of punch‑list items. Supplier quality – Evaluate subcontractor quality performance and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Environmental Management Environmental compliance – Ensure adherence to EU and local environmental legislation, sustainability targets, and project environmental plans. Hazardous substances – Manage REACH assessments and environmental risk controls.
Sustainability initiatives – Support carbon‑reduction strategies, waste‑management plans, and energy‑efficiency measures. Health & Safety Leadership Safety strategy – Own the project’s EHS strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate safety management systems.
Risk assessments – Review and approve RAMS, SPAs, high‑risk method statements, and permit‑to‑work systems. Incident management – Lead root‑cause investigations, produce detailed reports, and drive corrective actions. Site inspections – Conduct regular audits, track interventions, and ensure timely close‑out.
Behavioural safety – Champion a strong safety culture through training, toolbox talks, and engagement. Client interface – Act as the primary QEHS contact for clients and regulatory authorities. Performance reporting – Present KPIs, trends, and strategic updates to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience 10+ years QEHS/EHS leadership on large‑scale construction projects; data‑centre experience strongly preferred. Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline. Strong knowledge of EU and local QEHS legislation. Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
Expertise in risk management, incident investigation, and safety program development. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills. Ability to work independently.
