Das ist der Job
The systems are deployed operationally today.
Darum lohnt es sich
The company is well funded, growing, and expanding its perception team to keep pace with programme demand.
Role Designing perception and multi-sensor fusion pipelines combining EO/IR, radar, RF, IMU and GNSS data for reliable situational awareness in degraded conditions Building real‑time perception systems for autonomous aerial platforms operating in dynamic, adversarial environments Developing robust detection, tracking and state estimation algorithms that perform when GNSS, comms and visibility cannot be relied upon Applying machine learning and deep learning techniques to target recognition, scene understanding and sensor degradation handling Taking algorithms from research prototype through field trials to certified, fielded product Collaborating closely with GNC and autonomy teams on tightly coupled perception‑to‑decision pipelines Requirements Advanced academic background (MSc or higher) in Robotics, Computer Vision, Aerospace Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field Strong software engineering skills in C++ (real‑time/embedded) and Python Hands‑on experience developing perception or sensor fusion systems for aerospace, defence, automotive AD or robotics applications Solid grounding in state estimation and tracking (Kalman filtering, multi‑target tracking, sensor fusion architectures) Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and deployment tooling such as TensorRT Compensation in the range of €120 - 180K + (with equity options) #J-18808-Ljbffr Senior Perception Engineer | Defence Autonomy | Munich Our client is a Munich-based defence technology company building autonomous aerial systems for contested, GNSS‑denied environments.
The engineering problems are hard and the feedback loop comes from the field, not a test track.
