You get to work on advancing power electronics used for Tesla products globally, thereby directly contributing to the acceleration of the world's transition to sustainable energy. ### What You’ll Do * Deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports, and other analyses as needed to plan engineering builds * Collaborate with suppliers during design meetings to monitor designed components, evaluate their complexity, and ensure supply chain considerations are addressed early * Act as the primary interface with suppliers on delivery status, issues, and resolution * Escalate to commercial or technical partners when required (procurement, accounts payable, quality, engineering, etc.) * Drive commercial cost negotiations with suppliers to ensure Tesla receives the best possible pricing and leverage cost models and analysis of current market conditions * Monitor current market conditions and technology roadmaps to proactively identify and address any supply challenges and to determine future business opportunities * Document component cost and work with Finance to track BOM cost in different program phases ### What You’ll Bring * At least 2 years’ experience in material sourcing, manufacturing, finance, or supply chain management * Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar discipline * Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning / Enterprise Resource Planning ( MRP/ERP) with a solid understanding of discrete prototype manufacturing, bills of material, product lifecycle management, procure to pay processes and supply chain operations * Proven experience in the management of high volume engineering builds * Demonstrated understanding of product release cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of parts and BOM structures * Ability to prioritize with a high sense of urgency, adapt to a fast-paced/dynamic environment, and act as a self-starter with strong attention to detail and ownership * Business level fluency in English, German language skills are a plus Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
