Your Responsibilities Lead the mechanical development of innovative medical devices throughout the complete product lifecycle Design and optimize complex mechanical components with a strong focus on plastic technologies and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Develop high-volume injection molded components for large-scale production Take ownership of technical work packages within cross-functional development projects Collaborate closely with external development partners and international suppliers Perform engineering analyses including FEA, tolerance stack-ups, FMEA and other simulation-based assessments Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision-making across R&D, Operations and Manufacturing Support agile development activities including sprint planning, estimation and technical implementation Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence within the team Drive continuous improvement of product quality, manufacturability and engineering processes Your Profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical product development Strong expertise in plastic part design and injection molding technologies Extensive experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Proven experience developing products within regulated industries, ideally medical devices or diagnostics Proficiency in CAD design, preferably SolidWorks Solid understanding of GD&T / ISO GPS standards and engineering documentation Experience working with external suppliers and multidisciplinary development teams Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills Professional English communication skills are required German language skills are considered an advantage Nice to Have Experience developing complex medical systems Knowledge of pumps, valves, sensors and temperature control systems Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) SAP experience Agile product development experience What We Offer Attractive salary with excellent social benefits Opportunity to develop next-generation medical technology with global impact Challenging and technically demanding engineering projects High level of ownership and responsibility Flexible working hours with extensive home office opportunities Modern development environment with state-of-the-art technologies International and highly collaborative engineering teams Excellent professional and personal development opportunities Long-term project with a very high likelihood of extension Open company culture with short decision-making paths and interdisciplinary collaboration Ready to shape the future of medical diagnostics?
