Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Remote Automation Innovator

This position is integral to designing and delivering innovative civil infrastructure solutions for projects spanning various sectors. You will leverage your extensive experience and technical expertise to contribute to groundbreaking developments while working from your own home office. This role demands autonomy, strong technical judgment, and exceptional collaboration skills within a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed design of civil infrastructure projects, including site development, earthworks, roads, and drainage systems.
• Develop comprehensive design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications using advanced software tools.
• Collaborate closely with a global team of engineers, architects, and project managers through virtual platforms.
• Conduct thorough design reviews and ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff remotely.
• Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide support during the construction phase.
• Contribute to proposal development and assist in securing new project opportunities.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in civil engineering design.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA or equivalent international registration.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Expert proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and relevant hydraulic modeling software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and work independently in a remote capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote team collaboration.
