Tasks

  • As (Senior) Manager Change Management & Engagement (f/m/d) you are a core member of the KION Business Transformation (BT) Organizational Readiness and Change Management team (ORCM), responsible for driving Change Management and engagement activities successfully in line with the overall transformation roadmap.
  • You take end‑to‑end ownership for all ORCM activities required to successfully prepare KION’s organization for the roll‑in of the global BT process template.
  • Steer and continuously improve the Change Management and Engagement approach across regions and stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment with the overall ORCM vision and transformation objectives.
  • Apply proven change management methods and tools, such as Change Impact Analyses and structured Stakeholder Management, further develop those approaches, and ensure their scalability across a global, complex organization.
  • Evolve the ORCM methodology to support an industrialised roll‑in model with multi‑country implementations and regional adaptations.
  • Enable and empower local and central teams by providing a clear methodological framework, practical guidance and hands‑on coaching, ensuring ORCM activities are implemented locally with the required quality and timing while maintaining global alignment.
  • Proactively manage senior stakeholders across functions, regions and brands, facilitate workshops and act as a trusted partner to leadership with a clear, fact‑based perspective.
  • Design and implement structured change monitoring mechanisms, including clear KPIs, feedback loops and adoption metrics, to ensure transparency on organisational readiness and the effectiveness of change initiatives.
  • Track and monitor change adoption and engagement across regions, identify risks and improvement opportunities early, and derive targeted mitigation actions while contributing to the continuous development of the ORCM capability within the Business Transformation program.

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree in Business Administration, Business / Organizational Psychology or a similar academic discipline providing a strong organisational foundation.
  • Bring at least 5 years of experience in large‑scale transformation or change programmes, ideally in a manufacturing environment or management consulting, with a strong focus on process harmonisation and organisational change.
  • Demonstrate a confident professional presence and comfort interacting with all management levels, supported by excellent stakeholder management skills in complex matrix and multi‑brand organisations, and across different cultures.
  • Have proven experience applying innovative and dialogue‑oriented change management and communication methodologies in the context of a transformation programme.
  • Translate strategic transformation objectives into practical, scalable change approaches that can be applied across multiple countries or business units.
  • Bring excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German, with the ability to convey complex topics in a clear and engaging way, tailor messages to different audiences and develop creative approaches to drive engagement and support the change journey.
  • Combine strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills with the ability to monitor change adoption, interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Be willing to travel internationally (approximately 25%) to support regional roll‑ins, stakeholder engagement and key transformation activities across the organisation.
