You act as a trusted advisor to senior business leadership, driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring a robust financial control environment.

You will partner closely with operational and commercial teams to optimize business outcomes, protect value, and support delivery of the refinery’s strategic and commercial objectivesYour new area of responsibility - challenging and future-orientedAct as a trusted finance advisor to the Refinery VP, supporting strategic, commercial, and investment decisionsDrive financial performance and ensure delivery of economic and strategic targetsLead interventions to address financial risks and performance gapsEnsure a robust financial control and governance environmentIdentify and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with internal standardsDrive process simplification, digitalisation, and efficiency improvementsBuild and develop finance team capabilities and future talent pipelinesOversee delivery of core finance processes (forecasting, reporting, benchmarking, improvement plans) through

activity integration across local and offsite (FP&A/FBT) finance and business teams. Your qualification profile - profound and passionateDegree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent)Extensive experience (approx.

15+ years) in commercial finance, including financial planning, performance management, and business partneringProven track record in manufacturing, production, retail, or supply chain environments, with responsibility for financial delivery and transformation initiativesStrong commercial acumen and deep understanding of integrated value chains and financial control frameworksDemonstrated leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams, coaching talent, and influencing senior stakeholdersStrategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to assess risks, identify opportunities, and drive data-driven decisionsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and work collaboratively across functionsFluent in German and English; experience in energy, refining, or similar industrial sectors
