We’re looking for a passionate Senior Embedded Platform Engineer to join our Embedded Platform team and help build the next generation of multi-camera and high-performance compute products. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing.

This Position reports to: Production Engineering Manager At Sevensense we push the frontiers of mobile robotics. Our mission is to build the eyes and brain for the robots of the future! Equipped with our technology, mobile machines can autonomously navigate in dynamic and crowded environments.

Thus, we enable new robotic applications in places such as airports, supermarkets, warehouses and train stations. In this role, you’ll design, optimize, and scale systems that push the limits of real-time processing and edge intelligence.

You’ll be the go-to expert for electronics, owning our hardware designs and shaping the processes that take ideas from concept to production. Working closely with EMS partners, you’ll ensure exceptional product quality at scale, while collaborating with skilled design partners to bring innovative, cutting-edge systems to life.

Along the way, you’ll create smart software and hardware tools to streamline manufacturing and dive deep into challenging, in-depth firmware development. If you enjoy owning complex systems end-to-end and turning visionary ideas into robust, real-world products, this role is for you.

Your mission Design prototypes for our next generation of products. Oversee prototype fabrication, including performing bring-up, debugging, and rework. Maintain the portfolio of Sevensense products and handle change requests and component end-of-life situations.

Additionally, collaborate with our EMS partners to ensure smooth production of our products. Validate your designs through extensive testing of thermal, vibration, humidity, ESD, EMC, and electrical fault conditions. Create test strategies and requirements for testing PCBAs
