The Senior Director, European Sales is responsible for leading a diverse team focused on consistently growing our revenue, delighting customers, and improving commercial execution in the European market.

The team includes sales, customer service, solution engineers, and applications scientists, totaling 60 associates, with revenue responsibility over $60M. Leverage data analysis tools to obtain business insights that support accurate forecasting and optimize team performance.

Experience with Danaher Business System or similar lean business tools; certification in small‑team performance or commercial funnel management is a plus. In This Role Collaboratively develop, lead, and execute sales strategies and action plans to drive core growth and establish Molecular Devices as a domain expert in 3D biology screening.

Provide direction, leadership, and coaching for all direct reports to achieve sustainable success. Collaborate with cross‑departmental business partners to improve company-wide KPIs (core growth, working‑capital turnover, inventory turnover, associate retention).

Utilize and promote Danaher Business System tools to address process improvement, standard work, and visual management. Champion engagement to build organizational and associate capabilities, developing future leaders and a bench of diverse talent.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include Strong experience managing sales and leading commercial associates through change. Commercial experience in the life‑science or drug‑discovery industry for an organization with a sales and service portfolio. Experience with Microsoft applications, , Power BI, ServiceMax, and Oracle.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related commercial or life‑science discipline. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements Ability to travel 30%–40% of the time, including overnight stays, within Europe. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Additional Experience Take personal responsibility for performance and professional development, modeling Danaher values, including diversity and inclusion. Consistently monitor leading performance metrics and champion changes for success. Forecast commercial performance and align sales forecast with operations execution.

Remote Work Eligible for a remote work arrangement. You may work remotely from home while covering the European market. xayajpt Compensation This position is eligible for bonus and incentive pay. Any bonus, commission, or other compensation is subject to company discretion and will be determined upon performance and vesting.
