Senior Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team in Airport West, Victoria. This is a critical leadership role for a hands‑on, proactive finance leader who thrives on influencing outcomes, building strong relationships, and driving business performance, reporting directly to the Managing Director with a dotted-line relationship to the Group CFO.

What you'll be doing

• Providing strategic financial leadership and support to the business divisions, ensuring alignment with the overall organisational goals

• Drive performance through proactive business partnering, identifying risks, opportunities and actionable solutions

• Analysing financial and operational data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability

• Track financial performance, including revenue, margins and cost drivers

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective financial strategies

• Lead and oversee month-end reporting across multiple entities (P&L, WIP, balance sheet, KPIs and cash flow)

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls

• Mentoring and developing the finance team to build a high‑performing, customer‑focused function

• Negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements and contracts

• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies

What we're looking for

• CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated experience in a senior finance leadership role

• Extensive experience in commercial contracting, corporate structuring and regulatory compliance

• A natural leader and driver, proactive, accountable and outcome-focused

• Proven ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal and strategic advice to operational staff and senior stakeholders

• Confident communicator who is comfortable challenging and engaging leadership teams directly

• Proven problem‑solving capability, able to identify issues, assess impact and implement practical solutions

• Strong people leadership experience, with the ability to mentor, develop and inspire teams

• Hands‑on, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment

• High level of initiative and ability to work independently
