Senior Business Developer – Home & Garden Responsible for identifying, acquiring, and closing high-impact partnerships with brands and professional sellers, shaping the assortment strategy and growth.
Qualifications Professional experience : 5+ years in Sales, Business Development, or Partnerships, ideally within marketplace, retail, or e-commerce environments working with brands in the Household Appliances or Garden space. Languages : German and English fluently; additional European language (e.g., Italian) a strong plus.
Deal closure : Proven track record of closing complex, enterprise-level deals, managing long sales cycles end-to-end. Communication : Passionate about working with people, can communicate, influence, and persuade stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and C‑level counterparts, supported by strong commercial acumen.
Resilience : Persistent, learns from setbacks without losing momentum. Problem‑solving : Structured, analytical problem‑solver who can quickly understand complex business and operational setups. Nice to Have Existing network within the Home & Garden industry. Prior experience working with marketplace and/or retail business models.
Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic sellers and brands within the Home & Garden category, building a strong and differentiated pipeline. Analyse market trends, demand signals, and assortment gaps to shape the category’s acquisition and growth strategy.
Lead the full sales cycle independently — from first outreach and business case development to contract negotiation and deal closure. Ensure a structured handover to Account Management, providing clear visibility on opportunities, risks, and growth potential.
Represent refurbed at industry fairs, events, and conferences, building visibility and long‑term relationships within the Home & Garden ecosystem. #J-18808-Ljbffr
