Senior Banking Consultant

Lead banking transformation projects and help grow FiSer Consulting in Germany.

This role is ideal for a senior consultant, project or programme manager, or banking‑transformation professional who combines strong delivery with commercial curiosity and a network in the German financial services market.

At FiSer Consulting, we help leading banks and financial institutions navigate change and deliver transformation in a dynamic industry. We support our clients across digital and data, regulations and compliance and risk and finance. Together we deliver the projects and programmes that turn our clients strategy into action.

What you'll work on

As a Senior Banking Consultant, you'll lead transformation projects for our clients across operations, risk, compliance, finance, regulatory change and digital transformation. You’ll work closely with client teams, consultants and senior stakeholders to structure solutions, manage delivery and support implementation from start to finish.

• Lead and deliver banking transformation projects.

• Manage scope, timelines, stakeholders and project outcomes.

• Create clear insights, recommendations and senior stakeholder updates.

• Advise clients on banking trends, regulatory developments and transformation opportunities.

• Collaborate with clients, consultants and industry experts in multidisciplinary teams.

• Mentor consultants and contribute to high‑performing project teams.

• Contribute to FiSer’s Banking practice in Germany through knowledge sharing, proposition development and business‑development support.

• Mentor and collaborate with consultants across Germany and the Netherlands.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for ambitious professionals with a strong interest in Banking, financial services and business transformation.

• A Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in banking, financial services, fintech or consulting.

• Strong project management experience, with the ability to lead transformation, change or implementation projects from planning through to delivery.

• Strong knowledge of banking topics such as risk, finance, operations, regulatory change, post‑merger integration or broader transformation programmes.

• Strong analytical skills and a can‑do mindset.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and mentor others.

• A commercial mindset; a network within the German financial services market is a strong plus.

• Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.

• Currently based in Germany, with valid work authorization.
