An established and respected company in the IT Services & Consulting sector is expanding its cloud-native engineering team in Nürnberg. You will actively shape backend architecture for mission-critical enterprise systems and help define engineering standards in a modern, cloud-native environment.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer who combines technical excellence with architectural thinking and a strong sense of ownership. If you value clean architecture, system reliability, and long-term technical quality over short-term fixes — this role is for you.
Your responsibilities include:
Translating structured business requirements into robust, production-grade Spring Boot / Quarkus services
Co-designing scalable architectures (CQRS, event-driven systems, asynchronous decoupling, BFF patterns)
Building and operating highly available, distributed backend systems
Running services in Kubernetes environments with production responsibility
Implementing GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux)
Establishing strong observability practices (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Jaeger)
Working closely with Architects, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps in an integrated DevOps culture
