Senior Backend Engineer – Growth Team We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our growth team. Our growth team’s mission is to keep our customers and operations teams happy by building the Insurance Platform parts used for insurance product launches, policy administration, marketing and sales.

In this role, you will work on backend features of our insurance platform while also contributing to internal tools and automation that improve efficiency for engineering and other teams across the company.

This includes building systems and emerging agentic tooling that streamline workflows, reduce operational overhead, and enable teams to move faster.

Responsibilities Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to define and implement the vision for a scalable system architecture for our insurance platform that supports our growing portfolio and customer base. Create reusable solutions that help teams scale faster and avoid one‑off workarounds.

Strong passion for building, maintaining, and improving platform tooling, libraries, solutions, and processes that empower multiple engineering teams and enhance the overall developer experience. Collaboration: Strong communicator, able to work across teams and translate technical vision into actionable plans.

Own and contribute to our evolving list of internal tools starting with Ruby libraries and agentic tools in engineering and beyond. Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code that promotes best practices and enables others. Explore and propose new technologies to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.

Champion engineering best practices and help elevate our tech stack to the next level, setting standards for the organization. Qualifications 5+ years of backend development experience, working on complex systems and platform solutions.

Ruby on Rails: Solid experience with Ruby on Rails and a deep understanding of how to develop high‑quality, reliable software. Agentic Engineering: Good understanding of working with coding agents from planning to delivery. Quality‑Driven: Commitment to delivering solutions that are well‑tested, reliable, and maintainable.

Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes and AWS is a plus. Proven experience in fintech environments or startups is a plus.
