Senior Backend Engineer NodeJS / TypeScript – GenevaOur client, an independent private banking institution in Geneva (approx. 320 employees, specializing in wealth management), is strengthening its development team as part of a technological overhaul.ContextYou will join the team in charge of the card system (credit, debit, virtual): transaction processing, ordering, and management.
NodeJS is used server-side in complex environments with high security constraints and multi-database setups (PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server).Your profile- Minimum 7 years of experience in backend development- Excellent command of the NodeJS and TypeScript ecosystem- Good command of the PHP/Symfony ecosystem- Excellent knowledge of SOLID, DDD, and CQRS principles- API design: OpenAPI, REST, GraphQL- Microservices and event-driven architecture; messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and asynchronous delivery- CI/CD (GitLab or equivalent), Docker, SQL and ORM- Degree in Engineering or equivalent- Fluent French, English B2 (for exchanges with other sites)Assets: experience in the card domain or the banking sector.Soft skills:Autonomy, reliability, and team spirit.
You will analyze existing components to design and implement their Node equivalents, in collaboration with architects and tech leads. This is a 100% backend role.
