Remote Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure)

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join their completely remote engineering team. This role is vital for the design, implementation, and management of our scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS and Azure. You will be instrumental in automating cloud operations, optimizing performance, and ensuring the reliability of our mission-critical systems. This position offers the unique advantage of being fully remote, allowing you to work from any location while collaborating with a high-performing, distributed team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization.
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
• Proven expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, AKS, App Service).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a remote team.
