Remote Senior Architectural Technologist (BIM Specialist)

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architectural Technologist with a specialization in BIM (Building Information Modeling) to join their fully remote team, supporting projects across South Africa, including those based around Mahikeng . This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective implementation and management of BIM workflows throughout the design and construction process. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining BIM standards, leading BIM coordination efforts, and providing technical expertise to project teams. This is an ideal position for a self-driven professional who excels in a remote work environment and possesses deep knowledge of BIM technologies and their application in architectural practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage BIM standards, protocols, and best practices for the practice.
• Lead and coordinate BIM modeling efforts across multidisciplinary teams to ensure model integrity and clash detection.
• Generate detailed architectural documentation and construction drawings from BIM models.
• Provide training and support to architectural and technical staff on BIM software and workflows.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure efficient and accurate data exchange within the BIM environment.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in BIM technology and advocate for their adoption.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with at least 5 years focused on BIM.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of other BIM-related software.
• Proven experience in developing and managing BIM execution plans (BEPs).
• Excellent understanding of construction documentation and the architectural design process.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
