About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement high-level exploration strategies and conceptual models for identifying new mineral deposits.
• Lead and oversee regional and project-specific exploration programs, including planning, execution, and data integration.
• Conduct advanced geological interpretation of geophysical, geochemical, and drilling data to generate and prioritize exploration targets.
• Manage the development of 3D geological models and resource estimations, ensuring accuracy and robust geological frameworks.
• Provide expert geological guidance and mentorship to project teams and junior geologists, fostering technical excellence.
• Prepare high-impact technical reports, presentations, and proposals for internal stakeholders and potential investors.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in exploration technologies and methodologies, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in geological fieldwork, data management, and reporting, maintaining the highest standards of scientific rigor.

Requirements

• A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geology or a related earth science discipline.
• A minimum of 12-15 years of extensive experience in mineral exploration, with a strong track record of successful discoveries and resource definition.
• Proven expertise in a variety of geological settings and commodity types.
• Advanced proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, GeoModeller) and GIS applications.
• Strong understanding of structural geology, economic geology, geophysics, and geochemistry.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex geological concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex, multi-faceted projects in a remote setting.
